Peter B. Lillico, BA, LLB is a lawyer practicing in Peterborough Ontario for over 30 years. He concentrates on the areas of estate planning, trusts, wills and estate administration. Peter regularly writes on various legal-related topics for magazines and newspapers. He is the principal author of the Estate Planning Toolkit for Small Business Owners (CICA, 2009), a contributing writer to Cottage Life and Good Times magazines, a columnist for the Peterborough Examiner and Peterborough This Week and a quoted resource for the Globe & Mail, National Post and Reader’s Digest. Steve is a seasoned chartered accountant who has managed his own public accounting practice for over 20 years. Steve has extensive experience working with small and medium-sized businesses to grow and protect their business. Steve is also an Auditor for a number of non-profit organizations and financial service companies and understands the importance of fiscal controls and sound financial planning. As a member and immediate Past-President of the Peterborough Estate Planning Council, Steve has an in-depth knowledge of estate planning. He recognizes that taxation has a significant and pervasive influence on wealth generation and preservation. Steve has delivered numerous tax-related seminars for business audiences and been a guest lecturer at Trent University. Steve has a BA from McMaster University (74) and a BComm from the University of Windsor (82).
