Peter Chant
Dr. Peter D. Chant is an expert on accounting and auditing matters, specializing in accounting principles for complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, hedging and securitization. He counts many experiences from being an expert witness in various matters involving generally accepted accounting principles as Chair of the Canadian Accounting Standards Board from 1995-97 as well as Co-Chair of the CICA/FASB Task Force on Segmented Reporting to serving as a Member of the U.S. Financial Accounting Standards Board’s Business Combination Task Force from 1996 – 1998. Dr. Chant received his Ph.D. in Accounting and Information Systems from Northwestern University. He obtained his CA designation in 1984, and became a partner at Deloitte and Touchщ in 1985.
